Spring is upon us

Spring is upon us and we are seeing a great deal of activity out at Summit Estates. We will be finishing the the stone work on the entrance monument in the next few weeks, and will then be starting the landscaping on the center islands within each cul-de-sac. Our spring planting will also begin as soon as the weather is consistent.  It’s time to see what community living is all about.  Come see us one block south of Douglas at 161st.

“Lot financing program” now in place for interested homebuyers

Peak 8 Development is pleased to announce a “lot financing program” is in place now for interested homebuyers looking to build at Summit Estates in Urbandale. Summit Estates is Central Iowa’s first single family residential development which will include amenities such as a clubhouse, pool and fire pit. 

As part of the lot financing program, all lot loans are at 6% with interest only payments for two years.  Once construction begins, the interest rate drops to 5% and the loan maturity resets for two years, or until the construction of the home is complete.

Summit Estates “Tent Party” a great success

Summit Estates, located in Northwest Urbandale on 161st Street south of Douglas Pkwy, is Des Moines’ first single family residential development which will include amenities such as a clubhouse and pool.  Now, that’s a reason to celebrate!

More than 50 excited builders, Realtors and prospective homebuyers recently gathered at the Summit Estates Open House “Tent Party”  for free food, bar and entertainment. Scott Stewart of Peak 8 Development was on-site to discuss the project and a prize trip to Summit County, Colorado was awarded to 25-year-old Urbandale resident Ambria Luettjohann.  View event photos below.
